Born on 29 June 1961 in Saki, Oyo State, Nigeria, he hails from the reputable family of Late Deacon Aderibigbe Adebisi and Mama Abigail Oladoyin Adebisi. From an early age, he demonstrated an uncommon passion for education, discipline, and leadership, virtues that have continued to define his personal and professional life.

His educational journey spans virtually every level of formal education in Nigeria, leading to specialized training in urban and regional planning, geographical information science, and theology. His academic qualifications include OND, HND, Full Professional Diploma, MURP, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., and M.Div.

Professionally, he is a Registered Town Planner (RTP), a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (FNITP), and a Fellow of the Institute of Policy Management and Development (FIPMD). He has served in teaching, research, urban planning, administration, and institutional leadership, contributing significantly to strategic development projects across Nigeria.

At The Polytechnic, Ibadan, he rose steadily through the academic ranks to become a Chief Lecturer without missing a promotion and served meritoriously as Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Studies. Beyond academia, he is admired for his humility, integrity, accessibility, and visionary leadership.

A devoted Christian and bi-vocational pastor, Tpl. Dr. Adebisi has shepherded Amazing Grace Baptist Church for many years while also contributing to social service through the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International and the Special Marshal Unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps.
